The Elsa top is our first foray into what shouldn't be possible in knitwear. Inspired by a stunning monochrome 1930s cocktail dress, & by the techniques of the pioneering designer Madeleine Vionnet, the result is sublimely self-assured & elegant.

There is an added surprise in the design too: it can be worn two ways, from day to evening, so it can be adapted to fit your mood.

Here you will see it worn on its own, for a cleaner, more minimal look, and also with the addition of the Frida foulard for a bolder, more graphic impact.

Crafted from a superfine crêpe Italian yarn, this garment has a luxurious slinky drape and a dry hand feel, making it perfect for all seasons.

Beautiful gauntlet style cuff

Taking its lead from an original 1930s cocktail dress, the Elsa top has some striking gauntlet shaped cuffs, trimmed with a neat little contrast knitted ribbon

Innovative draped open sleeve

The envelope style open sleeve is made from a single knitted piece, cleverly conceived to show a glimpse of shoulder- or not- depending on how it is worn

Clever design allows for day-to-evening wear

The slinky rabbit ear ties can be threaded through the front of the collar for a more demure day look, or can be opened up to expose the shoulder and threaded behind the collar for a more daring evening look
